Drop Everything. And Go Surf Lombok.

Desert Point, Lombok.

Whilst Bali continues to surge forward into an overdeveloped cliche of everything that paradise is not, its sister island remains strangely quiet. Which is odd given that Lombok offers perfect tube rides without the crowds. Desert Point is not unknown for high quality surf, and long are the days of catching it empty, but it does seem to have avoided the influx of numbers that blight a surf trip to Bali. This short edit of Jonathan Gubbins taming all that desert point has to throw at him makes us wonder why we’d even consider a trip to the land of a 1000 temples, when Lombok is so close by.
